Littlestone Coffee Roasters is a fantastic family-owned business based in Exeter. Passionate about artisan products, travel and of course great-tasting coffee, they source the coffee from an ethical and sustainable supply chain and hand-roast the beans in small batches. This enables them to offer a range of coffees to meet the tastes of all coffee lovers. Aware that their current branding wasn’t a true reflection of their core values, they came to us looking for some help to create a strong identity around their existing logo.
We started with the Littlestone Coffee logo, tweaking it slightly to ‘rough it up a bit’ and then we used a beautiful illustration of a coffee plant as the basis for the creation of the identity. Colour-wise, we wanted something that stands out from the usual browns and muted palettes you see so much of when it comes to coffee brands. These pinks and maroons are strong, yet also beautiful at the same time and paired with the very light grey background they give the brand a lovely, natural feel without looking too rustic.
Once the brand re-alignment was agreed (super quickly as they loved it at first sight!) we set to work on their most urgent requirements. These included new exhibition graphics for an upcoming trade show, product literature, stationery and some short-term packaging labels. We also designed branded coffee cups and got their coffee machine vinyl wrapped to really enhance their brand presence at the show. It was great to see so many visitors walking round the exhibition with Littlestone Coffee cups.
