Westgate Street Deli is located right in the heart of Launceston town centre in Cornwall on the corner of Westgate Street (hence the name of course). When they came to us to discuss the branding it was a butcher’s shop with a different name that had been in the town for many years. The challenge was re-brand the shop, including the name change, so that customers understood it was now a deli offering so much more than just butchery.
The logo is clean and simple and works brilliantly as a circular device on the exterior signage and for packaging stickers. To communicate that the deli sells cheeses and fresh produce we designed a set of illustrations and this was used to create a repeating pattern that was added to the shop windows as etched vinyl and also as sheets of greaseproof paper for wrapping the cheeses, charcuterie etc.
We also commissioned some hand-painted signage above the shop on the corner wall that communicates the new offering in-store. Huge thanks to Signs of Good Taste for their excellent hand-painting skills on this, and also to More Creative for the rest of the signage.
“We’ve worked with Wetdog Creative before and they were the obvious choice for this new shop re-brand. Their attention to detail and passion for design shines through every step of the way. We’re delighted with the branding and especially love the shop’s signage - it all came together so easily, and they made it an enjoyable process too.”
