When Charlie Bears approached us to help them with their branding and marketing, we were really excited at the thought of spending time looking at (and cuddling) all their gorgeous handmade teddy bears and we haven’t been disappointed! With their Head Office (a.k.a The Bearhouse) in Launceston, Cornwall, Charlie Bears is an affordable, collectable bear company with hundreds of stockists and thousands of collectors both in the UK and around the world.
They’d been trading for 10 years and expanding fast, especially in their overseas markets, but they knew they needed help with their branding if they were to continue to grow. Our first project was the careful re-alignment of the Charlie Bears brand. Keeping their existing logo, we set about creating a strong identity for the brand, which was lacking at that point.
Once the brand re-alignment was complete, we got to work on their collectors catalogues including the main collectors catalogue, which showcases the entire range of Charlie Bears for the year. We also completely re-designed their collectors membership pack for the Charlie Bears Best Friends Club, which included a new folder, magazine-style newsletter, pin badge, membership card and many other items. We also created a complete set of retail gift packaging for stockists to use when selling Charlie Bears in their stores. This included luxury gift bags, ribbon, tissue paper, a range of stickers and more. Feedback from both collectors and stockists has been really positive to all the items we’ve introduced so far.
With lots of projects still on-going, we work closely with the Charlie Bears team (or the bear cubs as they are known to Charlie Bears collectors!) and it is really exciting to be so involved with such a creative and successful world-renowned brand.
