Kingsley School is located in the North Devon coastal town of Bideford. They contacted us in need of some help with their branding as they were struggling to get a strong, consistent look in their marketing materials. Following discussions about the limitations of the existing logo, we worked on a full re-brand with a new logo and identity.
In order to keep a strong connection to the Kingsley heritage, we created a simplified version of the school’s badge so that this could remain a core part of the overall identity. This new, cleaner and stronger school badge is now able to be used on its own when needed, and as part of the full Kingsley School Devon logo.
We also worked with them to create the new school strapline: Nurturing Wellbeing | Achieving Success which encompasses the Kingsley values and ethos where the students physical and mental health is just as important as their academic success.
Once the re-brand had been approved we moved straight on to a full set of new print materials including a silver-foiled pocket folder and series of A5 6-page roll fold information leaflets about key areas of the school including: curriculum, sixth form, sports, surf academy etc.
Additional graphic design projects included an A5 20-page international brochure and related promotional graphics including floor-standing and table-top banners for use at events in Paris, Burmuda and Nigeria to meet potential international students, and their parents. These projects had extremely tight deadlines and we worked closely with the Marketing Manager to design each item and project manage the print process with the relevant suppliers.
It’s been a busy few months working with the management team of this progressive and inclusive school. We’re looking forward to lots more graphic design projects to come over the coming 12 months, as the full re-brand is rolled out across all areas of the school.
