Compton Verney

is an internationally renowned art gallery within a converted Warwickshire mansion set in beautiful grounds, famously created by landscape architect Capability Brown, in the 18th Century. In addition to their six permanent art collections, the gallery puts on a number of exhibitions each year and we were asked to create the marketing materials for their new ‘What the Folk Say’ exhibition.

This involved designing the initial promotional flyers to raise awareness of the exhibition – these encouraged members of the public to send in their examples of folk art, some of which were displayed during the exhibition itself.

From here, we designed the 28-page exhibition guide book, all the vinyl graphics needed to promote the exhibition throughout the gallery. We also created the pre-launch advertisements within art press journals as well as designing a branded box set of ‘Family Activity Cards’ that were used by children to help them interact with, and learn more about, the exhibition.
